Rupert Murdoch buys Myspace
crablin by Colin Roberts July 19th, 2005
Rupert Murdoch, media 'mogul' and money behind The Sun, The Times and BSkyB has purchased Intermix, the company behind social networking and music discovery site Myspace.com.

In a deal worth £330m, Murdoch's company NewsCorp has acquired 30 different brands and properties, the most lucrative of which being Myspace, which commands the fifth highest volume of page views across the entire web.

DiScuss: Does this represent a shift back into internet business? Will you still use myspace? Does it taint the special little community we had going down?
