All-over-TMF-every-minute hip-hop producer type Timbaland is looking to cross over from acclaimed knob-twiddler to established pop star in his own right with his new LP, Timbaland Presents Shock Value.
The album - due out in March - features a wealth of contributors from across the entire spectrum of modern music. Björk, The Hives, Jay-Z, Elton John and Justin Timberlake all appear. Crazy!
While being interviewed by MTV, Timbaland - currently to be seen dancing about with those Pussycat Dolls girls on t'telly - commented:
"I'm not just hip-hop. My mission is to take over Top 40 radio - what they call popular music, different genres of music - and reach all types of people."
Coming soon: Radio Timbaland. It'll sound just like Radio 1 does around two in the afternoon most weekdays.
