Pigeon Detectives: a pretty big deal
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver November 7th, 2007
and Gary Wolstenholme

I faintly remember a time when you could talk about the Pigeon Detectives without automatically being met with scoffs of derision. 2005? I think so. Anyway, a lot’s changed since then – the band now dither at the very peripheries of our remit to cover new and interesting music. They will also play a 7,000 capacity homecoming show in Leeds next May. It seems Yorkshire cares not for our remit.

Before then though, there’s the small matter of a UK tour to get over and done with – the act, who release new single ‘I Found Out’ next Monday (12 Nov), play the following shows soon:

November
8 Wrexham Central Station
9 Bangor University
10 Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall
11 Keele University
13 Swansea University
14 Bristol Anson Rooms
15 Exeter Lemon Grove
16 Portsmouth Pyramids
17 Bournemouth Fire Station
19 Reading Hexagon
20 Oxford Zodiac
21 London Forum
22 London Forum
23 London Forum
27 Birmingham NIA
28 Glasgow Barrowlands
30 Doncaster Dome

December
1 Manchester MEN *
15 London Earls Court *

* = as support to Kaiser Chiefs

To be in that 7,000 strong hometown crowd, you’ll have to wait ‘til Monday (12 Nov) at 9am.
