T in the Park begin to announce lineup

"On the 13th and 14th of July over 50,000 people will see over 100 bands on 7 stages at Balado near Kinross, which can only mean one thing - T in the Park 2002."

Over the next few weeks, the full line up to T in the Park will be announced, via the T in the Park website, and with a few big bands still rumoured to be in negotiations with organisers (Oasis anyone?) it's bound to remain one of Britian's biggest festivals for 2002, it's ninth outing.

The weekend's lineup, in nothing more than alphabetical order so far, is as follows...

The Beta Band

The full line-up will be announced by the end of April. Tickets go on sale at 9am, this Saturday, the 9th of March. at £37.50 for a day ticket and £62.50 for the weekend.
