New Records & Dates for [spunge]
oappleby by Ollie Appleby April 30th, 2002
The first recording by [spunge] for B-Unique Records with be a proper, multi-format single, set for release at the end of their forthcoming May tour, oh, and there's an album on the way.

The single 'Jump On Demand' will be released on Monday June 3rd. It was produced by John Cornfield (Muse, Oasis, etc) and is, in the band's opinion, the first recording to "truly capture the energy and vitality" that the band are renowned for from their live performances.

The single will be released in the now standard chart reaching three formats, including old album tracks that you just might have missed out on:

CD1 - 'Jump On Demand', 'Go Away' (from the band's 'Room For Abuse' album) and the Scott Lyon directed video for the single

CD2 - 'Jump On Demand', 'Whitehouse' (from their debut album 'Pedigree Chump') and 'Best Mates Girlfriend' from their now deleted debut EP.

Ltd 7" Picture Disc - 'Jump On Demand', and 'All She Ever Wants' (again from the band's 'Room For Abuse' album)

[spunge] are currently recording the rest of their as yet untitled album for B-Unique in Surrey with Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, etc) and hope to have it finished before the start of their previously reported tour, which is selling rapidly, probably due to Bowling For Soup being the support act.

Festival dates now confirmed for the summer include:
The Metal Hammer Midsummer Nightmare festival, with Skindred, Sugarcoma, Opeth, Vacant Stare & more at the Exeter Phoenix on the 1st of June

The Xtreme Festival with Motorhead, No Means No, Raging Speedhorn, Dukes Of Nothing & more at the Dublin RDS Centre on the 29th of June

And Finally (for now) the band are also now confirmed to play with Green Day in Scotland at the T In The Park festival, in Wales at Cardiff Castle, and in England at Nottingham's Woollaton Park, all of which are in July.
