Metallica vs Napster: all is forgiven?
sean by Sean Adams August 18th, 2008

Anti-internet rock behemoths Metallica have today taken a funny turn.

The band who famously were anti-Napster are now pleased to announce that none of that matters anymore. Today, the exclamation-laden Napster mailout reads thus:

"We have a very exciting announcement to make this week - Metallica's back catalogue is now available in full on Napster! ROCK!!!

...Metal Gods On Napster!
Metallica's catalogue is on Napster from today! Check out albums including
Master Of Puppets, Metallica (The Black Album) and St. Anger from the biggest hard rock band in the world. Look out for Metallica's ninth studio album Death Magnetic out next month and a headline set at Reading/Leeds this weekend.
Nothing Else Matters

DiScuss: Dear people of the internet, do you forgive them now? With Napster going legit, is it them who look silly?
