6Music invent 'Wear your old band t-shirt to work' day
sean by Sean Adams November 27th, 2008

A peculiar but appealing concept from the folks at BBC 6Music...

Following a segment on Lamacq's show where people rang and sent photos in about their wearing of obscure band t-shirts to work, they've decided to start a day of band logo adornment.

Thursday December the 4th will officially be the first 'Wear Your Old Band T-shirt To Work day'. All you have to do is wear your old band t-shirt to work (if, like me, you do this already it's pretty easy!).

DiS would like to encourage all of our readers to partake in this day and change your profile picture to you at work wearing your favourite band t-shirt.

DiS' editor (that's me!) will be on air with Lamacq next Thursday for 6 Music's Roundtable, wearing either an Idlewild or Sonic Youth t-shirt, unless anyone fancies sending me an amazing t-shirt with your band logo on?

See also this thread posted last week and this one from May about your favourite band t-shirts.

DiScuss: what t-shirt will you be wearing? How many band t-shirts do you own? What's the best band tee you've ever seen? Have you grown out of wearing band t-shirts?
