Panda Bear, Deerhunter, Broadcast + more for Matt Groening ATP
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater December 1st, 2009

Sweet. Whilst all of you indie hipsters may have placed most of your eggs in the Pavement-curated ATP for next year, there's also another weekend of fun to be had, curated by Simpsons creator Matt Groening. He's a bit of a legend when it comes to that sort of thing.

A short while ago we informed you of the first raft of bands that were announced for this festival, which was a decent enough start. It's getting bigger, though, and here's who has been added this time round:

Panda Bear
The Residents
Deerhunter
Broadcast
Daniel Johnston
Amadou & Mariam
Shonen Knife
Ruins (solo)

Who join: The Boredoms, The Raincoats, Toumani Diabate, Danielson, James Blackshaw, Anni Rossi and Viv Albertine's Limerence, who were already placed upon t'bill.

The Pavement-curated weekend is MASSIVELY SOLD OUT, so this is the next best option, right? Plus, Pavement are one of the most massively overrated bands in history, yeah? OK, well, make your own mind up on that one, but the above bands are GOOD!

The weekend takes place at Butlins, Minehead from May 7-9, and you can get your tickets from See Tickets, for either £170 or £160, depending on what sort of option you choose. You should know the deal by now.
