Listen: New track from David Sitek's Maximum Balloon
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater July 8th, 2010

Maximum Balloon may not be the greatest name for a band, but when TV On The Radio man David Sitek is involved, such things as names we can largely ignore. Last month they announced their plans for a debut album including a release date. Things have advanced a little since then, though - with more free tracks available. Digital singles, if you will.

You can get your hands on a new track from Maximum Balloon by heading over to Spin.com and clicking here. They've also got Sitek's track-by-track preview of the new record on Spin.com, which you can visit here. They've really got it locked down.

You can also get their first single 'Tiger' from here. Either download it from iTunes or listen to it via Facebook, though I'm not really sure how that one works out, or whether you can download it. What kind of chump doesn't have iTunes, anwyay?!

The album comes out on August 24, sign up to the mailing list on the official site to receive updates about it all, like. It features some heavy hitters, including TVOTR bandmates Tunde Adebimpe and Kip Malone, Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Yukimi Nagano from Little Dragons as well as Holly Miranda, Theopilus London, amongst others. In the meantime watch a preview video below:
