PJ Harvey confirms album details
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater November 23rd, 2010

Following on from the tease earlier last week, where we were told there would be an announcement today regarding PJ Harvey, we can indeed confirm the release of a new record from that wonderful woman. What was hinted is true.

The new album is called Let England Shake and will come out on February 14 through Island Records. It was, we are told, recorded in a 19th Century church in Dorset with long time collaborator Flood, who co-produced the record along with Harvey and John Parish. As you'd also expect, with the album comes live shows.

Unfortunately for anyone who hasn't already bought a ticket, all dates are all sold out, but the "tour" does include stops in Brussels, Paris, Berlin and London's Troxy on February 27 and 28. Wait, though, Polly Jean will be playing some festivals in the near future. Which ones, we don't know, but the live band set-up will included Mick Harvey, John Parish and Jean-March Butty.

Below is a performance of the title track on Andrew Marr's Sunday show.
