Radiohead to tour in 2012 and Atoms For Peace record nearly finished
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater September 21st, 2011

Last night Thom Yorke was a guest on Gilles Peterson's Radio 1 show, which you can listen to here. That's not really interesting in itself, but he dropped a few hints to his future plans, including those of Radiohead and the supergroup Atoms For Peace, which includes Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. He said that Radiohead would tour in 2012 - "The idea is to go out and play next year on and off during the year." The extent of that playing remains to be confirmed, but it's something (via GreenPlastic.com).

You'll also remember - or perhaps not - that Thom is part of a supergroup featuring Flea, Nigel Godrich, Mauro Refosco and Joey Waronker, named Atoms For Peace, and that they played a couple of shows last year. They've also been working on an album, which Thom said was being finished with Nigel Godrich. He also said that touring last year "sparked something off, it was really exciting...it had really good energy."

There's no firm release date for that at the moment, but it can't be too long. In the meantime watch Thom perform with Atoms For Peace from last year:
