Rabbit Fur Coat (due 23rd Jan) features gospel singers The Watson Twins, Chandra and Leigh, on backing vocals, and Lewis recruited a wealth of indie talent to play on the record. M.Ward, Ben Gibbard, Conor Oberst and Greg Kurstin all put in appearances.
Lewis wrote most of the album in Los Angeles back in 2004, and song titles include 'Rabbit Fur Coat', 'Run Devil Run', 'Melt Your Heart' and a Traveling Wilburys cover, 'Handle With Care'.
