Bluebird Robbed!
DiSvsMatt by Mat Hocking April 30th, 2003
As yet another addition to a growing list of bands falling foul of opportunist thieves, psychedelic avant-rockers Bluebird have reportedly had £5000 worth of equipment stolen from their tour van.

Having just begun their UK tour with Hell is For heroes this week, the LA-based act suffered the break-in following their show at Leeds Cockpit on Monday night (28th April). Amongst the items stolen were:

Fender Telecaster (american standard) sunburst.
Fender Telecaster (squire serial #sqo1729) black finish
Fagstrom Superswede red nicked finish
Sony digital camera in black bag with US power adapter
Soundmaster silver DVD player.

Although the band will continue the tour using borrowed guitars the band urge anyone with any information regarding the stolen equipment to contact: info@bluebirdsounds.com or infogoldstar@btinternet.com

You can show your support by catching the band on the remaining dates of the tour:

01-May London, Astoria
02-May Wolverhampton, Wulfrun
03-May Dublin, Music Centre
04-May Cork, Fred Zeppelin (Bluebird Headline show)
06-May Portsmouth, Pyramid
07-May Cardiff, MS1
08-May Manchester, Academy

Headline shows with upcoming post-hardcore scamps Drive Like You Stole It

21-May London, Metro
22-May Sheffield, Corporation
23-May Glasgow, Cat house
24-May Middlesborough, Empire
25-May Nottingham, Old Angel
