Limp Bizkit are being sued by 172 fans after the band failed to meet audience expectations at a gig in Chicago back in July.
Reports of the gig state that Fred Durst stormed off stage a mere 17 minutes into his band's proposed 90-minute set. His exit was prompted by boos from the crowd and some missile throwing. Durst allegedly threw anti-gay and sexually explicit insults at the crowd before departing. His microphone was still active whilst he was off-stage, where he continued to insult both the crowd and the city of Chicago.
The legal action comes only six months after four fans unsuccessfully sued Creed over a "sloppy performance". The lawsuit faced by Limp Bizkit states that the fans expected a 90-minute set, which wasn't performed, and therefore deserve compensation to the tune of $25 each. Neither the band or their label Interscope have yet commented.
