Britney Spears' marriage to upcoming rapper (LMAO... sorry) Kevin Federline is apparently on the rocks. So rocky are said rocks, in fact, that the pair are essentially living apart.
The couple, pictured, married 20 months ago; they have one child, with another on the way. The Mirror reports that Federline has been banished to the basement of the couple's mansion in California.
Britney's people have so far failed to deny the claims, while a close friend of the singer is quoted in the aforementioned red-top:
"She wanted to wait (before settling on divorce), but their relationship has become so hostile she just doesn't see how she can make it work.
"Their relationship has totally broken down. Britney desperately wanted it to work and still does for the sake of their family, but she has had enough of him and the awful friends he hangs around with. She has ordered him down to a separate flat in their basement. They have in effect divided their house."
