Cat Power To Release DVD
sean by Sean Adams April 14th, 2004
That unpredictable fringed lady, who puts the roll into alt-folksy, is releasing a DVD and playing some interesting charity shows...

Chan Marshall, aka Cat Power, releases a DVD this summer entitled 'A Film by Mark Borthwick'. Mark shot two hours of footage for 'Free' which apparently is a bit like a small movie. The DVD will also include a 40-page book and a bonus CD featuring a new, unreleased, 19-minute track. The exact UK release date is currently unknown.

Before Chan heads out on a US tour in May, she's playing two shows for worthy causes in NYC. The first of which takes place tonight at Cathedral of St. John the Divine, it's a benefit for peace between Israel and Palestine, Chan plays alongside Conor Oberst and Patti Smith. Then on May 11th at the Bowery Ballroom Miss Marshall joins bemulleted vodka salesmen Har Mar Superstar, for FUCK CANCER.

DiScuss: How weird were Chans recent UK sets? Did you know Chan is pronounced Shawn?
