henry, simon, tom and fred, are collectively post war years. together they have been writing and playing their danceable, other-worldly synth-beat driven sound in clubs and basements up and down the country honing their unquestionably skilful musicianship on the live scene. we were first introduced to them in 2008 with their debut release 'black morning' ep (chess club), three songs that were described by bbc 6 as 'a fizzing bombastic attack on the senses, with more bright ideas than most bands manage in a lifetime.' towards the end of 2008 they took a break from recording their debut album and headed out on tour with one of this years biggest tips - white lies. a good decision, well made. the new single 'whole world on its head' is backed by 'flames like tinder' and will be followed by a live 4 track ep on zarcorp - late of the pier's imprint label in april. almost reaching completion, the album will be released late spring. recorded and produced by the band themselves - their sound will be honed by graeme stewart who has been assisting the boys with additional production and mixing on the lp. ....release date: 09/03/2009
