laura marling releases a new album 'a creature i don't know', the follow-up to 2010's 'i speak because i can'. like it's predecessor, the new record was produced by ethan johns. the vibe here is looser, the rhythms more adventurous, her vocals are more soulful, more sexual and more assured. marling has found a new intensity on her deeply impressive third album. she has come a long way in a short time, and has undoubtedly got further to travel.
