Fontanelle - Vitamin F
Fontanelle’s guitarist Rex Ritter has toured and recorded with Anderson’s hooded drone merchants Sunn O))), producer Randall Dunn has worked with the likes of Sunn O))) and Wolves in the Throne Room and, yes, Vitamin F’s cover is indeed largely black. It’s a pleasant surprise, then, to discover that the music contained within it is quite so much fun.»

the black vinyl version of this greasygroovy masterpiece of fuzzed out funk is imited to a one time pressing of 1,000. for fiends of: miles davis circa 1969-74, tortoise, mahavishnu orchestra, sick ass fuzzed out funk! during the gap of nearly 10 years since their last release, fontanelle has been trying to transport themselves back in time to 1973 into patrick gleeson's different fur trading company studio. with the help of randall dunn's expertise (sunn o))), black mountain, wolves in the throne room), it sounds like they made it! rex ritter's tour of duty with sunn o))) during fontanelle's hiatus seems to have irreparably changed his dna, as well as the band's. adding an amazing array of horn players (many heard on sunn o)))s; 'monoliths and dimensions'), fontanelle has conjured a burly fusion jazz sound that has been dubbed, 'white magus.' on southern lord.
