Louche and decadent, Pacific Standard Time could be represented in one image - a lens-flared screen shot from GTA Vice City, filled with palm trees, swimming pools and all the opulent, pastel-shaded glory of a Californian dusk. It is slightly one-track minded, slightly shallow yes, but it’s also sunny, sultry, and slick.»

'great friends, good music, california, and mezcal.' properly describes the intoxicating summer vibes radiating from 'pacific standard time,' the debut album from poolside. musician / dj filip nikolic (formerly of bands junior senior, guns n' bombs and ima robot) and jeffery paradise, founder of san fransisco's infamous 'blow up' parties, have been chopping away at this record for a few years now amongst other priorities. over the album's 72 minutes, you'll get plenty of funk, a little disco, some r&b, and then some house and some indie rock.
