Beautiful collaboration featuring two masters of their individual crafts. Arising from a burgeoning friendship based on mutual admiration, Explosions In The Sky teamed up with soundtrack composter David Wingo (Mud, Take Shelter) to score David Gordon Green's "Prince Avalanche" film. An immersive and imaginative score, the music here is lilting, spacious and meditative, with sounds perfectly formed emerging from somnambulant depths and co-existing in a stark, yet beautiful way.
