Finally the debut album from Haim from San Fernando Valley. The sisters Haim: Danielle, Alana and Este, have a musical pedigree - and it shows. The girls grew up making music with their parents before branching off and cultivating their own signature sound. Parts have triple harmonies that evoke images of laurel canyon in the 1970s, parts are pure and simple AOR, parts are sun-kissed R&B but always with a pop edge a la Fleetwood Mac, Pretenders or Madonna. The album was produced by Ariel Rechtsaid and James Ford. 'Days Are Gone' actually lives up to the sky-high expectations that Haim have had to live with for the last year.
